Without a doubt, the most prized cards in my collection are the ones that I had personally autographed by the actors. The cards don't just represent collector value, but also sentimental value and personal memories. Of course now you can pull autographs from packs of modern cards, but what can I say; I love vintage cards (and come on, it's just not the same as obtaining the autograph in person).

The most impressive actor that I met, to have a card signed, was Peter Mayhew (Chewy). This guy was just plain huge, I mean one of his hands was bigger than my whole head. I don't think these pictures do justice, but you can sort of tell how big his hands are next to the trading card he is signing. I always figured that the suit was enhanced in some way, to make the actor appear bigger and taller - but that's probably not the case. This guy IS Chewbacca! I'm not sure how rare it is to find Peter at a convention, but in the last 10 years I believe he has only appeared twice in my area; I was very lucky to be able to be there both times. The first couple of pictures are from the first time - I had one card signed and the pictures are of him signing it. The second time I had two cards signed - and got a photo with him. That's "Bib Fortuna" sitting next to him in one picture, with the "Bib Fortuna" cup.

Over the years, I got to meet many more actors. Some of them are pictured below, with me and signing the cards. And of course there are the pictures of the signed cards. Highlights include Boba Fett (Jeremy Bulloch), David Prowse (Darth Vader), Kenny Baker (R2-D2), and Mike Edmunds (Jabba The Hutt).
