Autographs are tough to obtain in person, so you may be tempted to add a few from other sources. If you are going to do this, I highly recommend PSA authentication. PSA
is very fickle - when they do slab them you can bet they are authentic. When you get an autograph in person, the fee is usually $20-$40 or more. PSA charges another $5-$20
more. So each authenticated autograph is quite expensive. Keep in mind too, that if you send an autograph to PSA and they do not slab it - you do not get a refund. Averaging this
cost in, I'd place each of my PSA authenticated autograph cards at a cost to me of about $50-$75 each. There are two PSA flips, the blue one authenticates the autograph only, the
red one authenticates botht he autograph and the card. You can also add a grade for the card, for an extra fee. Below are some examples from my collection.
