These are some photos of how I store my collection. The solid cherry boxes were custom made by my friend
Rich Sorgi to specifications that I provided. The plan was to make 3 different sized boxes
(top loaders/ToppsVault cases, standard PSA cases, tall boy PSA cases) and then a large upright cabinet
to hold them all. There would be 8 of the standard PSA sized boxes, and 2 each of the other sizes - for
a total of 12 boxes. At 250 graded cards per box, the whole project will hold around 3000 cards.
The first boxes were made to store cards in ToppsVault cases or top loaders. Those actually hold
far more than 250 cards, if in top loaders. They can also hold standard PSA cases if necessary, since
I like to put matched sets together (where I have a ToppsVault proof card and a PSA 9 of the same card,
for example). These turned out exceptionally nice, I think.
The next few were made to store standard PSA graded cards, 66 per row or around 250 per box. The 4 rows of 66
are great for Star Wars Cards, especially the O-PEE-CHEE set which fits into one box exactly. All of the boxes also
have nice handles for carrying the cases, and little feet for setting them upright on the floor
without damaging the floor or the case.
Since there is some overflow, I also have a large number of cardboard boxes from Bags Unlimited, that I store
singles and sets in. All cards are first in a penny sleeve, then in a top loader, then the top loader is
sealed in a team bag. These are arranged by set with dividers. Not shown, I also have a lot of sets in
large binders, and miscellaneous items in plastic with acid-free backing boards.
