I didn't know that Allens & Regina had done a ROTJ set, until I was verifying a full Scanlens ROTJ set and found that these were mixed in. Thanks
to Cathy Kendrick for the following information on these. "The only sets released under this brand would be blue Star Wars and the first ROTJ
set. It's not uncommon to find Allens and Regina cards mixed in with Scanlens cards because New Zealanders often seem to get stuck also buying
cards from Australia as they just have fewer card shops, etc." Shown are a checklist and the back of one card. The checklists both say "Allens
and Regina" on the front, and the rest of the cards only say "Allens and Regina" on the back, in the same place as you would see "Scanlens",
"Topps" or "O-PEE-CHEE" on the other similar sets. Trevor Gaylor also added "Allens/Regina (New Zealand) are part of the Scanlens confectionary
group in Australia & got the license to produce two sets - 1977 SW blue border set (72) [these do not have the Allen's TM anywhere on the cards
but can not be mistaken as a white card stock was used & half of the set had blank backs] and ROTJ series one. The ROTJ set DID have the Allen's
TM on the reverse of the cards but strangely used the Scanlens logo on the title card...you will not find a title card with Allen's/Regina
on it. This has confused a lot of collectors in the past". Thanks Trev! The additional scans are of the empty box and one wax wrapper
(poor condition, but rare.. and this is the best I have found so far). Note that the wax box looks identical to the Scanlens wax box, except
for the printing on one end (the yellow end). In the scan, I put a Scanlens box and the A&R box together (standing on one end) so that you
can see the difference. The wax wrapper is also very similar to the Scanlens wrapper, other than the manufacturer listed in the fine print.
